Our defense giving up 44 points on the first 7 possessions made it far harder to win than 5 turnovers, particularly when two of those turnovers were utterly meaningless.

Yeah, I think it's funny when Y fans try to place blame on the offense for the FSU loss. The only things that stopped FSU's offense that game were the end zone, the halftime clock and pity.

I agree. That offensive line kicked the hell out of our defense and that was that. Turnovers had no bearing on this game.

It's not like FSU stopped our offense either. 5 to 0 on turnovers WAS the difference in the game.

Tell you what, you find a team that allowed 44 points on the first 7 possessions of their opponent and still won, and I'll admit that the turnovers played any role in the outcome of the game other than losing by 26 instead of by some smaller margin.

I patiently await you being able to come up with one game -- any game.

BYU has to punt or takes a field goal on ONE possession, and FSU wins, even with zero Brigham Young turnovers.
