  • Who is least deserving of their current ranking?

Also, why do you think that team is ranked either too high or too low?

I don't want to make a poll, it would have too many possibilities.

I'm not asking who is the least deserving team to be in the top 25, but I'm wondering who you think is least deserving of their specific ranking. You might see a team that is being undeservedly ranked too low. Feel free to use either major poll.

For instance, you might say, Oklahoma is the least deserving of their current ranking because....

Anyway, I thought it would be interesting to see some opinions.

Right now, I'm inclined to say Oklahoma at 18 in the coaches' poll. Too high. They have two losses. Their three wins are against Idaho STATE, Baylor and Tulsa. I think, with two losses and no very good wins, they should be lower or out. Other teams should shift up and that vacated spot at the bottom should go to some other 1 loss team.

I will throw Boise out there(sorry FN). THey are a good team with one good win and a cupcake diet that would put most diabetics in a coma.

Look at the OU team that just beat Baylor - you really think there are 17 teams better than them? If anything, the two losses are the only reason they are ranked lower than they should be. Oklahoma is a top 10 team, if not top 5.

Based on what we've seen of them so far, they have the best or one of the top defenses in the country. With Bradford back, they should have one of the top offenses in the country. I didn't mean to say they should be ranked in the top 10 or top 5, I meant to say they are probably one of the 10 or 5 best teams in the country. Based on that, one could argue that if anything, their ranking doesn't reflect how good they really are in comparison to the rest of the teams out there.

If Oklahoma doesn't beat Texas on Sat they should drop out of the Top 25.

              Sagarin thinks so...

The predictor (best predictor of outcomes) puts them at 6.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

Oklahoma State. Loss to Houston (who's also overrated).

Wins: average Georgia team at home, and a mediocre A&M team.

I can't put Cincinnatti here because they're undefeated against decent teams, but I bet they lose to USF on Thursday.

USF has played a ridiculous schedule up to this point. Two FCS schools, a school who's in their first year of being FBS, Florida St, and Syracuse.

The Bearcats will win that game by 3+ TD's.

                    I'll take the 21 points.

I think Penn State at 13 in Coaches' Poll is undeserving.

Their Five Wins: Akron, Syracuse, Temple, Illinois, Eastern Illinois.
Their One Loss: Getting manhandled at home by Iowa.

I think they're headed for 2 more losses: to Ohio State and at Michigan.

I also think Utah is a top-20-25 team (not top-20), but that'll take care of itself if the utes (mostly) win out.

But Bradford is missing both his receivers for the season, and the OL is still shaky. It's not a top five team. It may be toward the bottom of the top ten, but that remains to be seen. I'm still predicting a 4-loss season.

Are OU and OK St the two additional losses?
