    NFL Week 2

What is going on with Minnesota? Favre is near perfect and yet they're down at half? To the Lions?

KC and Oakland deadlocked at 3-3 at the half. As Colin Cowherd said this week quoting Dennis Miller, "Crap + Crap= Crap."

Philly's D seems to have reined in Brees a bit. They're only on pace to score 5 TD's this week.

Washington. Man, they should kill St. Louis but aren't.

Jets and Pats in a defensive battle. Who'd have thought?

KC is +195 in yardage differential, and JaMarcus Russell is 3/14. How are the Chiefs down 3?

Is it going to happen to the Bengals again? Packers just got the onside kick.

Wow. I was wrong about the Eagles D. Glad to see AP and the Vikings get it going in the second half. I needed some Fantasy points there.

I really want JaMarcus Russell to go away. I don't want to say I hope he gets hurt and is out for the season. Instead I will say I hope he gets caught using PEDs and is suspended for the season. That guy sucks. You're 3 years removed from college. How can you still not hit the broad side of a barn? Maybe he needs glasses like Ricky Vaughn. But he is the worst starting quarterback in the NFL. I would trade his fat ass straight up for Tarvaris Jackson right now. That is how bad he sucks.

I would give my right nut to have Mark Sanchez as my QB. That guy is awesome. I haven't always been a fan. In fact, nobody rooted harder for Hart HS to upset Mission Viejo HS in the CIF championship game than I did. But he just continues to impress. That coveted "it" factor. Well he has gobs of it. I also think it's BS that my fantasy owned NY Jets defense only gets 6 points for that performance today against the Pats. They were all over Brady today. Any day the Pats lose is a great day.

WTF Jim Zorn? Going for it twice on 4th down when a FG would have forced STL to score a TD to win was dumb. I was actually hoping they didn't convert that second one (which they didn't) to display his idiocy for all. Too bad Bulger couldn't get anything going. I would have loved to have seen the Redskins fans' meltdown had they pulled it out and won with a FG.

the insane thing about SanChez......he could still playing for SC. Could you imagine that dude under center in college ball right now. He certainly has made a nice name for himself so far in the League.

Yeah. He's definitely not ready for the NFL, right Pete?
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

What does Denver's record need to be before Donut gives up on his I am not cheering for them this year? I predict if they are 4-0, highly likely, going into the game against the Patriots that Donut starts a thread about the student becoming the teacher.

I had similar thoughts. Maybe Pete just knew what he had in the cupboard and didn't want him to leave.

Here are the games the CBS affiliate in Utah has picked up today.

11-2: Chiefs vs. Raiders (instead of Patriots vs. Jets)

2-5: Broncos vs. Browns (instead of Chargers vs. Ravens or Steelers vs. Bears)

Who picks these games for the affiliates? I assume its done at the local level and I can't understand the reason for picking that putrid Chiefs vs. Raiders game over Pats v. Jets. I guess I can understand picking the Broncos game, but I still wonder if there are really that many Broncos fans along the Wasatch front to justify picking the putrid game involving the Broncos instead of matchup against two teams that may be contenders (SD vs. Balt.).

When I was spouting off lamentations about the the propensity of the CBS affiliate to broadcast Broncos games (and to also pick the wrong games in other time slots) my wife responded that they must be trying to push people to buy the NFL Sunday Ticket. But I'm thinking the local affiliate makes these choices, or are the guys at the network doing this? And would the networks really care if you get the NFL Sunday Ticket, do they get a piece of that revenue?

I was damn near tempted to get it until I found out cost $300 for all of the games in crappy standard definition and a ridiculous $400 to get them in HD. $250 in HD would have probably done the trick.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Speaking in DH's defense, even in the depths of my own personal negativity regarding the Broncos, I thought we'd start 2-0. And even the best of Shanahan's teams started hot and faded, so us Bronco fans are immune to strong early success.

I bet he jumps on if we start 8-0.

I am pretty sure that the games are selected for the region. All I get here in VA are Washington, Baltimore and Philly.

It's the only one I have. The left one is in Gidget's purse.

In the event of a botched vasectomy, the right nut is far less likely to fall off than the left, hence the right in more valuable.

They are both valuable. If you lose one there is no reason to ball about it or get teste.
