Ostertag thinking about NBA comeback

Greg Ostertag called KSL's Rod Zundel two weeks ago to talk about golf. He also said he was thinking about making a comeback to the NBA--now it's started.

Ostertag is 36 years old, and last week went through a scrimmage with the Portland Trail Blazers--who are trying to find another big man. He also said he would be interested in talking with the Jazz.

Tag and Rod exchanged text messages Monday afternoon, and no word on when there will be another workout for an NBA team.

Ostertag has been living in Arizona the last couple of years, playing a lot of golf.

I don't remember that, but I wouldn't be surprised. Did he work out with anyone last summer?

I think a team should offer him the minimum, and require him to wear a Beatles-style bowl cut as part of his contract. If he cuts it, he is waived, and has to repay his entire contract.

Sizzle, can you work some photoshop magic and show us what it would look like?

The sad thing is he would be an improvement on our backup center position, unless the yet to playguys work out of course.

In other words, he is better than collins.

One of my good friends dated the daughter of the trainer of the 76ers. She took him to an after party of a 76ers game, where he mingles with many players and, of course, a ton of groupies. A bunch of players were talking about Mutumbo having a third arm and saying it was big even for a 7+ footer. Odd conversation at a party but my friend overheard a story of Mutumbo mingling in one of these after-parties exlaiming, "Who wants to suck Mutumbo deek". All Mutumbo did when he heard this was chuckle and said, "It works everytime."
