    NBA Hall of Fame Inductions

Stockton, Jordan, Jerry Sloan all inducted today.

I'm a big Jordan fan, but I've been a little disappointed with his acceptance speech. Kind of self-serving and disorganized with his impromtu remarks. I laughed when he let out the "S" word and ESPN didn't bleep it out. Now he's closing with a prepared speech. Much better

Stockton and Sloan gave very good speeches.

I liked Jordan just winging it.. Good stories. The S bomb was funny. Throwing Russell under the bus was an interesting choice.

That is what I enjoyed the most. I thought that it was a great story, an explains alot of why he took great pleasure in handing it to Russell.

      IMO, Sloan was terrible.

I liked it, but I love Coach Sloan. Very humble with some good homespun humor.

I meant to DVR this. I will have to catch up on it later. I watched the 1993 Bulls/Suns clinching game on ESPN Classic last night, and the 2nd half of the Cavs/Bulls game with the shot from 90?, man that guy was pretty good.

What was Jordan's quote at the end? Something, like fears are just illusions. I really liked that.

Loved Sloan and Stockton's speeches...I had no idea about that Evansville bball team he had been hired to coach.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

That was a cool story. I found it was interesting that he added CBooz as one of the players that he felt was an honor to coach.

I didn't go to my parents for dinner to watch the ceremony. My wife called and asked if I was going to make it for dinner and when I told her no, she yelled at me because she thought that I was watching ESPN Classic. I have been watching the games all day long.

Apparently Vecsey's speech last night was pretty impressive.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

MJ looks like he's been away from the game for 20 years. He wasn't looking that great, IMO. On the other hand, did you all see Pippen? He looks like he just walked off the court.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Agreed. MJ was looking more like Magic up there.

Nobody can pull it off like Chuck though.

It's amazing. I vividly remember my first Lakers game ever at the Great Western Forum. On TV these guys always seemed so big. During the shoot around we went down to the floor and all I could think was how skinny these guys are.

I only saw the snippets they play on SC, but I agree. All he did was talk about himself and his accomplishments. I kept waiting for him to talk about his team, etc., but that never happened. Well, maybe they did and it was a just clip they decided to show.

He gave props to Scottie Pippen at the beginning and paid his respects to Dean Smith and Phil Jackson. But some parts were definitely awkward, like when he talked about Jerry Krause and the kid on his high school team who got picked in front of him.
