      ha.

Baseball is such a fraud. 2 more WS titles in the steroid era that have taint all over them.

Congrats on lifting the Curse, Red Sox Nation.

It is a good thing that Pete Rose is such an ongoing issue with the Commish. I would hate to distract him with REAL problems in baseball right now.

What Pete Rose did was worse than the PED problems in baseball. You are also kidding yourself if you don't think every other major sport doesn't have the same problem.

          oh, they all take steroids.

but baseball has made a big deal about "steps" to eradicate steroids, when in reality, I am not sure anything has been done.

I am also not sure that what Pete Rose did is worse, if at all. How would you support that claim? The reason I ask is because steroids has permeated every aspect of the game....pitchers, hitters, all-time records, inflated player salaries, etc.

If Pete Rose only bet on his team to win, what the impact on the game as a whole?

Canseco had a great quote today in this interesting piece:

When you tell me something I didn't already know, I'll be surprised,'' Canseco told ESPN. "And I'll tell you this, Major League Baseball is going to have a big, big problem on their hands when they find out they have a Hall of Famer who's used."

When asked to name who that Hall of Fame player is, Canseco refused to divulge who he believes it is.

"It's not about naming names,'' he said. "I've never had anything against the players. It's always been against Major League Baseball. I know who's on that list, but like I said, it's not about attacking the players. It's about the machine that allowed this to happen. What I speak out of my mouth is the truth. It burns like fire. Just remember, I have never lied about this subject."

I'm surprised Jose hasn't met with an unfortunate "accident" by now.

He's got to mean Rickey. They played together in Oakland. It can't be Boggs or Gwynn. I doubt Sandberg either. Baseball would be shaken to the core if it was Ripken. I can't think of a worse blow than Cal testing positive.

Given his prodigious head and the streak, Cal is a real possibility.

Canseco has ratted out teammates and non-teammates.

Why wouldn't Boggs be on the juice? In fact, this might explain his sex addiction....shrunken genitals means he probably couldn't get enough.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
