I have no idea what the rules were, but I think doing what you can to make an expansion team good quickly is a very good idea, regardless of the sport. You need to get the new city excited and tied in with the team as soon as possible so that will support the team in the long term and so they don't create a legacy of sucking that can be hard to get rid of. Look at the Charlotte Bobcats and the Memphis Grizzlies.Originally posted by MartyFunkhouser View PostI'm not complaining either, but the rules were set up for Vegas to be a good team. I enjoy the speed of play, Fleury in the crease, and the overall energy.

On to the third round. I can't predict a victory against the Jets, but it's bee a fund ride.

That makes senseOriginally posted by Donuthole View PostBlackouts don’t have nearly as much to do with sold out games as we think they do. Bottom line, when ATT bought the rights to broadcast the VGK games, they bought the rights to exclusive local coverage through the first round. They don’t want you watching the NBC feed when there is still a local feed with rights to broadcast the game.

The real test for the Golden Knights is going to come with the Predators. That team is damn good. The Golden Knights will get past the Sharks and it might be easy. The Predators are going to be really tough.

You are right that I don't know how good the team is, really. Other than stats and numbers, I don't have much to compare the team's performance against. But there are a lot of serious hockey fans here, and the city has totally jumped in with both feet. T-Mobile is a really fun place to watch a game.

I've got YouTube TV as my primary tv option. I just click "Vegas Golden Knights" and it records all the games that I have access to. Hopefully I get the rest of the games.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostBlackouts applied in the first round for everyone who doesn’t have the ATT Comcast channel.
