Wish the Jazz would have drafted...

    DeJuan Blair.

I think he can give you what Milsap gives you at a much cheaper price and serves as a small insurance policy if Booz leaves.

Rebounded in college, better offensively than Milsap, about the same size, and according to his coach had no issues with his knees in college.

I don't like the idea of drafting a back up point guard unless you think he can play on the court with D Will right away.

What makes you think he's better offensively than Millsap?

Also, what makes you think he's not a lot fatter than Millsap? To be fair, I realize you never claimed he's not a lot fatter than Sap, but I thought it was an interesting question.

That was my thought, verbatim, as I read fusnik's post.

To me, it says the Jazz are planning on having Millsap back with the team for sure next year. I don't know that the Jazz really want to have two 6'7" PFs on their team, despite their rebounding prowess.

I think the move of drafting Maynor is a safe move. Now, KOC will show what direction he has for the team this offseason as I don't think staying put is the right direction. Staying put when everybody else is improving is akin to taking a step back.

If Milsap is 6'7" then after watching the series against the Lakers Gasol must be 7'4".

6'6.25" without shoes. Blair, however, is 6'5.25" without shoes, though he does have a slightly longer wingspan (by.5") than Millsap.

Jazz made a QO to Sap today.

I understand the reason for not going after Blair. They've got enough guys who call fill minutes at the 4. They'll retain Sap or Booz (possibly both), Memo is really a 4, and Kosta they've played Kosta there before. KK is better as a 5, but he's certainly mobile to handle some minutes at PF.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.
