For me personally the worst thing that ever happened with the college world series was Oregon State winning it. It made Beaver fans that couldn't name one player on the team in December proclaim their never ending love of Beaver baseball. And it made the Oregon administration decide that they couldn't be one upped by the Beavos and re-start the Oregon baseball program. Now I have to deal with fundraising calls for baseball and it will only be a matter of time before they start siphoning off money from football and basketball to pay for this sport nobody cares about.

Texas benefits from a great trademark (logo). Someone told me once how much money they make annually from licensing. It is unbelievable.

I don't think the impressive licensing numbers are a function of the aesthetics of the logo itself as much as a function of the population of Texas and the recent success of Longhorn fb and bb.
