That was a fun tournament. I was pulling for Spieth, but I'm happy for Day; he has been close so many times in the past. I'll admit I'm a big Tiger fan. Professional golf was fun before him, but when he came on the scene, it became a lot more entertaining, at least for me.
Then when he stopped winning majors, with his time off for sex scandal and injuries, the sport has been down.
We had Phil. And then Rory came along. But until now, we haven't had as much compelling stories or talent to make up for loss of Tiger.
This has been the best year for majors in almost a decade. With Rory and Spieth primarily, and then add to that Day, Dustin Johnson, Justin Rose, etc, we have a collection of young talent that's going to make for a lot of fun golf for what should be many years to come.Comment
