Sounds like he just signed a "training camp deal". At least he'll have a shot at making the team.

      Somewhere, cougjunkie is smiling.

Another coach that byu fans can blame for Fredette sucking as an NBA player.

I'm a fan of any article on Jimmer Fredette that refers to him as a "little fucker."

The lazy knock on Jimmer has always been that his tools aren’t quite shiny enough to bamboozle a league that’s stronger, faster, and craftier than the ready marks who came through his sights at BYU. The more specific knock is that he was relying on the deep three to get his shot off in college because even at that level he didn’t have the quicks, wrist or ankle, to release clean any other way. Thrilling plays, but borne of just a little more necessity than you’d have liked, no matter how many of them the little fucker was knocking down.
The article also makes cougjunkie's point for why Jimmer Fredette is the greatest.

Counter-argument to this whole post: the overwhelming number of Jimmer highlight vids set to Eminem music

On the surface, that sounds nice, but you take away the unusually deep threes Jimmer made each game, probably 2 or 3 at the most each game, and he still scores 20-22 ppg. IOW, he got an awful lot of shots off right at the three point line, inside the three point line, at the rim and at the FT line. To say he needed to take deep threes in order to get his shot couldn't be further from the truth.
              I'm like LeBron James.

I didn't watch him nearly enough to comment one way or the other. I simply approve of the line "no matter how many of them the little fucker was knocking down."

I'd guess Jimmer got half his points in the paint or at the line, from being fouled in the paint.

Which is clearly a reference to how Jimmer got under this dude's skin. The author must be a SDSU or UNLV fan.

Also, Jimmer routinely schooled Kawhi Leonard..who was the NBA defensive player of the year last year.

I assumed he was a Red Wings or Canucks fan. Those are the dudes in the know.

Ridiculous argument about long 3s. Jimmer took long threes not because he couldn't shake a college defense. He took them because he damn well wanted to show that he could hit from anywhere, and he frequently did.

Well, we wouldn't want him to just sit in the hockey thread and comment to himself all the time.
