I'm guessing this writer wasn't thrilled

    to have landed this assignment:

Oh well, Go Bucs! Let's get that record-setting 17th straight losing season.

Seriously, though, it's hard to watch the Pirates play. This article gives the impression that they're trying, but it'll be hard to shake the cheapskate reputation.

More happily, though, I can easily afford to go to these games.

Are you a Pirates fan? My old man is a huge Pirates fan. Our family has one of those inscribed bricks at PNC park.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I'd love to see it be 17 straight years then another 17.

            That's pretty sweet.

The Bucs are my favorite NL team, and all of their games are on the local FSN channel, so I watch a lot of them. I've been to several games at PNC and love it. I've only been to one game in Philly and it was overpriced and kind of lame (like most of the city, although it's started to grow on me). They're so bad that it's easy to root for th players but hard to respect or like the management.

Forgive and forget, my friend. What's it been, 20 years?

I'm a diehard Orioles fan. I will never get over the '79 World Series when Pittsburgh crushed my dreams as a 15 year old to see my team win a title.

Don't worry, the probability of the Orioles and Pirates meeting in the WS again is probably close to a billion to one.

I should have pointed out earlier that - in true Pirates fashion - one of the only bright spots on this team, and a player quoted often in the article, Nate McLouth was traded this week for a bunch of prospects.

Looks like that record is ours!
