We did our live draft for my work FF league. One guy is a real 49ers homer. His first pick was Anquan Boldin(#7 overall), followed by Frank Gore, then (Tom Brady), Vernon Davis, and the SF Defense. He had a few other picks after that, including Montee Ball and Greg Jennings, and finished out round 14 by picking up Kendall Hunter. He was not happy when someone else took Kapernick with the 6th overall pick in the first round.

Surfah is like that with the Raiders...you'll see when we draft.

The only Raider worth drafting is Seabass.

Here's my roster with Yahoo's default starter designations:

                QB - RG3
                WR - Calvin Johnson
                RB - DeMarco Murray
                TE - Jason Witten
                W/R/T - Dez Bryant
                W/R/T - Victor Cruz
                K - Stephen Gostkowski
                DEF - New England

                Bench:
                QB - Tony Romo
                RB - Ahmad Bradshaw
                WR - Miles Austin
                WR - Anquan Boldin
                TE - Martellus Bennett

Should I make any changes to the starters?

Pelado -That is who I would start without knowing how the season will go.

Missed 2\3 the live offline draft cause I had to work late so it auto drafted for me in rounds 1-9.... All things considered a decent team for a 14 team league, but it isn't the team I would have drafted...

                  QB - RG3
                  RB - LeSean McCoy
                  RB - Stevan Ridley
                  Flex - Giovani Bernard
                  WR - Victor Cruz
                  WR - Pierre Garcon
                  TE Greg Olsen
                  K- Phil Dawson
                  DEF/ST-Houston

                  Bench -
                  QB - Philip Rivers
                  WR - Jeremy Kearly
                  WR - Jacoby Jones
                  RB - Joique Bell
                  TE Coby Fleener

I have not played a 14 team league for quite some time. Man that bench is thin than crappy. Any roll-of-the-dice players that are late round/undrafted you guys like that I might be able to pick up for my bench?

pretty sure surfah had him last year and he (surfah) got the rambone on a weekly basis because of it.

Need some advice. My league is doing an auction draft with one keeper. Everyone has a $200 budget. The price of the keeper is $5 more than you paid for the player last year. I need help deciding who to keep. Here are the options:

                      Cam Newton - $10
Arian Foster - $70 (I overpaid for him last year)
                      LeSean McCoy - $55
                      Steve Smith - $25
                      Dez Bryant - $23
                      Matt Ryan - $16
                      Tony Gonzalez - $9
                      Randall Cobb - $5

Dez Bryant is getting buzz this year and had a great end to last year. I think I would be getting a deal for him at $23. He was a disappointment at the beginning of the season last year though and I'm not sure I can count on him. Cam has been good to me, and based on ESPN projections $10 is a slightly better deal for Cam than $23 is for Dez. Cobb is a better deal than Cam based on ESPN's auction price projections, but Cam scored almost 100 points more than the best WR in my league last year. Overpaying for two top RBs was a good strategy for me last year, but $70 is too much for Foster. I can probably get him back for less if I let him go to auction. $55 is more reasonable for McCoy, but still slightly above his projected value. Randall Cobb looks like a good deal at $5.

I am down to Cam and Dez Cobb. . . and leaning towards Cam. Any thoughts?

newton is a very average fantasy QB. You will be able to pick up a comparable QB for $10 or less in a middle round. I would keep McCoy.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

Cam scored the 4th most points of any player in my league last year (more than Peyton, RGIII, or Adrian Peterson). He really turned it on at the end of the season. My concern is that they try to keep him in the pocket and he loses a lot of rushing yards.

Based on last year's auction, I can probably get McCoy back for about the same price as it would take to keep him (if not lower). There were only three players taken for $55 or more last year ... and one of them was Aaron Rodgers. I don't think it makes sense to waste a keeper pick on McCoy when I can get him for the same value if I put him up for auction.

My real question is whether it is worth giving up Cam to keep Cobb. Cobb has been in and out of camp with an injury, but reports are saying he is fine. If I don't keep Cam, I probably won't pay full value to get him back. You are right that I can probably pick up a decent QB Anyone have an idea of what the WR depth is like? That is a position I don't pay too much attention to. Reports are that Cobb will be Rodgers top target this year. WR has consistently been a weak spot for me in the past. Maybe it makes sense to keep Cobb and spend some money to get a good 2nd (or 1st) receiver like Demarius Thomas.

Agreed, I had him last year. Benched multiple weeks due to poor performance 2 weeks straight. Then he went crazy at the end of the year which lead me to a 2nd place finish. He is streaky.. Unpredictable..
