  • By the way, Kings in 5. Unless Lundqvist plays out of his mind, this is going to be an easy series win for the Kings. They have already beaten 2 teams substantially better, Blackhawks and Sharks, and another team that is better in the Ducks. The Rangers are going to be nothing compared to those series.

I'm rooting for the Rangers though (as much as I hate it), because I want the Blackhawks to remain the only 2 time Stanley Cup winner in the salary cap era.

Im fine that you are rooting for the Rangers. Your support seems to be the kiss of death.

Kings in 7 only because the Rangers are the Kings from 2 seasons ago: nothing to lose and being the underdog doesn't intimidate them.

I am squarely rooting for the Kings to win. I have a ton of respect for their team. Kings in 5

This is your hometown team. If they win the Cup you sold your soul to an out of town team that has won the same amount of cups as your hometown team. At least in the "salary cap era." Come back to the fold.

This should help you make the switch:

Why not? Didn't you just recently adopt the Blackhawks like Funk in the salary cap era? The roots can't be that deep to be so emotionally invested in them. It's just not possible. If you can adopt a team while you're 30 something you can change allegiances pretty easily.

              • Don't mind him. You're using it correctly. Most hockey fans will call the next round the Stanley Cup Finals as well.

Fuck you* for claiming that I adopted the Blackhawks in the salary cap era.

*I like you, but I have no choice but to make this statement to anyone claiming I'm a bandwagon Blackhawks fan. I suffered through Bill Wirtz owning this team. I suffered through the Chelios trade, Roenick trade, and Belfour trade. I suffered through every fucking time they hired Pulford as GM. I suffered through Mike Smith as GM and Alpo Suhonen as coach.

When I watch the games it is clear to me that my love for the Hawks runs deep. I just don't feel that way about the Kings. I can't force it. The Hawks were my introduction to the sport and yes it has only been 6 years but hockey has grown to be my favorite spectator sport. All of you should be well aware how much I love BYU sports so that is really saying something. The Hawks have a special place in my heart for introducing me to something that I wish I would have had my whole life. My connection to the team has been brief but it is deep. It is just how it is.

You are a shining example to all those who have not yet adopted the great sport of ice hockey and the one true hockey team, the Chicago Blackhawks.

Kings are just so much better than the Rangers. Lundqvist playing out of his mind is the Rangers only hope and even that is such a reach.

                              • This is a good game. Took me a few minutes to find it on channel 30 in Utah.
