One of my sports highlights was attending the draft the year the Jazz nabbed Snyder and Humphries. I was living in NYC for the summer and just rolled up to MSG, paid $10 and watched a crazy sports circus. If you ever have the opportunity, I highly recommend attending in person.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostAlways has been for me. I'm not as into it as I once was, but I'm still probably in the top 99.9% of the general sports fan population in terms of my interest in it.

"J.R. Smith except not crazy." I like that.Originally posted by woot View PostThe Knicks have liked Tim Hardaway Jr and it looks like that'll be their pick.
I think he's got a lot of potential to hang around the league for a long time playing good-not-great ball, but he's still pretty rough right now.

They had a better record the year before and arguably had a better team this year. I think they underachieved if anything, though not by much.Originally posted by woot View PostWoo! I am pretty stoked about this. Although looking over the Jazz roster, I don't know how they went .500 last year. Did they over achieve, or do I just not know these players enough? So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I mean, most of us thought they'd make the playoffs. I never felt it was a nice mix of players. On a good team, guys like Foye and Millsap would be really nice for a second unit, but for this team I'd just rather play young guys and avoid bringing those guys back. Jefferson has a place in the NBA as a second or third guy on a good team, but you can't build your team around him and become anything substantial.
Their ceiling was maybe a 7th seed. They barely missed the playoffs, so they underachieved from what I thought they'd do, but I wasn't surprised by it.Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

Broussard reporting that the Nets agree in principle to get KG, Paul Pierce, and Jason Terry from the Celtics for a bunch of spare parts and picks."Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. They were all against me. Tried every dirty trick to cut me down, but I beat the bastards and left them in the ditch."
