If getting one sports bet pick right meant winning $25K...

would you hedge the other side, betting $12,500 to be guaranteed $12,500? Check this out (it's a free contest):

Covers contests offers our members free contests with great cash prizes. Learn how to make wagers on real game odds without spending a dime.

A streak of 21 wins gets you $25,000 and 25 gets you $100,000. If $25K isn't enough for you to hedge half of it, is $100,000? Would you hedge the full 50%? If not, how much would you and why?

I made my first pick tonight and won -- Yankees/Twins under 10.5.

I would definitely hedge the bet in some way -- maybe not the full 50%, but 25% at least.

The smart play would be to hedge, however that is why I am a probably slightly addicted gambler, I never hedge. I never understand the people that make a horn bet on the come out roll, if you are hedging it seems to much like work to me.
