You have to really hate Kobe to find anything wrong with his game yesterday.
I do hate Kobe, but I have said that he has been playing brilliantly, except for those few possessions when he reverts to play that is a little more unhelpful to the team. You don't start running the clock out with 4 minutes left to play in a close game. Dwight Howard free throws score at a better rate than Kobe hero ball.

I'll take my chances with the ball in Kobe's hands over Dwight at the line in crunch time any day of the week.

Some teams blow it up while other, smarter teams tank a season to think longterm. I wouldn't even know what that is like as a fan.
lol. This is going to sound like my mean streak, but I promise it's not as I'm entirely lovable and everyone can attest to that. Remove head from sphincter, then post!

But wouldn't you rather take your chances with the ball in the hands of the most open player of Nash, Kobe, and Pau, even if you want to throw Dwight out, which would be odd? That's kind of the point.

Nice show, MG. Members of the CUF Cognicenti are waiting for their high fives. Don't keep them waiting.

I guess you'll just have to call me crazy for thinking that a franchise that has been to the playoffs once in the last 19 years and has won just one series in the last 22 years is anything to emulate. I mean beyond that, this current team is just a 5 seed right now and only a handful of games ahead of a Jazz team that starts Randy Foye and Jamaal Tinsley in its backcourt for crying out loud. This is besides the fact that they likely don't have a ceiling even above the Deron-Boozer teams everyone bitched about.

I don't know. I just don't find myself all that upset the Jazz don't operate like the Dubs.

Now that's the answer I would expect from you, not the passive aggressive bullshit that's become so popular on here.

Now, as to GS, I guess I just see something in Curry that I never saw in Deron. While a bit injury prone he's become a great shooter and a leader. There is a void to fill in the West while the Lakers and Mavs reload and it's there for the taking. The Jazz might have stepped into fill it but instead are anxious for 2 more home ganes to try and break even.

Open? Of course. But everyone is defended. Kobe is one on one in the post. When the double came he passed to the open guy and had 4 assists playing what you called hero ball. Leaving Dwight out in the crunch isn't odd at all where he can be hacked and sent to the line. Jax sat Shaq in the closing minutes when he could be a liability at the line like Dwight is.

I don't understand your argument here though. What would be the difference of Kobe in the post versus Nash dumping the ball into Pau or Dwight in the post and letting them work on the block? I'd argue Kobe is the best post player on this team and you could make the argument one of the best in the league with his footwork, creativity and shot making ability. Kobe one on one in the post and deferring to his open teammates when doubled is a strategy I will always endorse. Especially when he is 3-4 and dishes 4 dimes.

I never endorsed Nash dibbling the clock out before running any kind of offense during the 4th quarter. I don't know why you would think I did. And Nash didn't do any of that.

                        • How high will Nerlens Noel be drafted?

Last night he only scored 2 points in a big game for Kentucky on the road against Ole Miss. He was 2-8 from the line. Had 1 FGA that he missed. But he did have 7 rebounds and 12 blocks. He averages 10 ppg, 9 rpg, and 4.7 bpg, and 2.4 spg. He is a monster on defense. But he can't do anything offensively. If the player comps for guys at the top of the draft were Jason Richardson (McLemore), Lamarcus Aldridge (Cody Zeller), Jerry Stackhouse (Shabazz), and Tyson Chandler (Noel), where would Chandler rank out of that group? I'll be interested to see what NBA teams do with some really talented offensive players with a dominant (but not 7') defensive guy mixed in.

I've only watched Kentucky 2-3 times this year, but I think Poythress has a major NBA game.

I don't know but Noel has a sweet ass high top fade.

Kobe basically turned into Rondo ever since Friday vs. Utah -- the same night Rondo tore his ACL. I can't shake this.

I live in Seattle and spend most of my day on CUF. It's kind of hard to avoid at this point.
