Lebron. Both are great, but Lebron is better all-around. Lebron has done better with a cast of nobodies than Kobe did before Gasol. And Lebron is more inspiring.

LeBron just because he has less miles on his legs. If both were the same age, it would be a coin flip.

I would take LeBron James without question at this point in their careers. James is younger and more marketable right now than Bryant. He gives you better performance on and of the court.

If you were asking me one was more likeable, I would say Kobe Bryant that is how much I hate James.

This is an easy one. Bron-Bron all day. I wouldn't care if they were both young and fresh. Look how they both started thier careers. LeBron came out of the gate like a raped ape, and Kobe was a bit immature and not as well prepared. LeBron is the youngest player ever to reach 11,000 points. LeBron has a better all around game then Kobe. People actually like to play with The King.

The only thing that Kobe has the edge on him, as far as his game, is defense. And that gap is closing. Kobe does have that killer instinct that is second to none (you don't get the name "The Black Mamba" for being soft).

I don't think anyone can rationally argue that they'd prefer to have Kobe. Triplet and Surfah will stay away from this thread because they know LeBron is clearly the better player and they don't want to have to irrationally defend their hero.

LeBron is bigger, faster, just as good a scorer, and a better passer than Kobe. And while Kobe has been improving on this lately, LeBron takes far fewer fadeaway-while-being-triple-teamed-20-feet-from-the-basket shots than Mr. Bryant. He has a better understanding of the game, IMO.

Well, I've only seen two of those guys play. Ok, I saw Kareem play as well, but he was about 80 at that point. Of the two, tough call, but I'd probably go Duncan. If I could start my team with any player in the league at his prime, yeah, I'd say Duncan.

Even if both players were 24, LeBron in a heartbeat. No competition whatsoever. Kobe's supposed finishing ability has come under question since Boston embarassed him during the last Finals.

Here's how the conversation would go between Danny Ferry and Mitch Kupchak if there was a staight up trade offer of LeBron for Kobe:

Ferry: "Mitch, I've been thinking I need to unload LeBron now while we still have him, do you think Kobe would waive his no-trade clause?"

Kupchak: "Yes, I'll do it."

Ferry: "You didn't answer the question, would Kobe waive the clause."

Kupchak: "I don't care, it's worth a try, let's do it."

Ferry: "Bu....."

I hate Kobe so naturally I hate to defend him, but this isn't a fair comparison right now. LeBron is looking like he is on track to become the best ever even if he just improves a little bit and wins a few championships. Sorry MJ, but there has never been anybody like him or even close. I thought Kobe played an excellent all-around game last night in getting 6 rebs and 9 assists. LeBron looked very average to me in the previous game and he finished with 13 rebs and 7 assists. The things he can do at 6'8" 260 are ridiculous.

Because of his immense talent and competitive nature, if Kobe played like he has the last two games all the time, he would be one of my favorite players. He looks to be unselfish almost to a fault and his team is absolutely rolling offensively because of it.

Did you see that foxsports article that talks about how LeBron is the most unique player since Magic? It is a fairly new article, maybe less than a week. I found it interesting because it cited LeBron's size and his ability to play multiple positions.

When LeBron came out of HS, I thought he would be a victim of the hype.

Turns out he is the Truth.

I don't know if this year is his year, but you can't help but get the sense that he will win a few rings. for the record, this year could very well be his year.
