I'm not going to put him in with the elite PGs I've seen, but in terms of his ability to get in the lane and score in the paint, I don't think I've ever seen anybody better at the one spot. 16-22 FGs just isn't something you see from a PG.

One of my friends from Weber State is a world traveler and a die-hard Jazz fan. When he was living in Spain a couple years ago, Raul Lopez was on the TV, and he mentioned to one of his Spaniard roomies that all the ladies in Utah loved Raul. The guy busted up laughing, and told him that Raul is very openly gay. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Parker already falls down every time he drives the lane, so this isn't exactly a big prediction coming from Dampier.

I used to get all bent out of shape when I thought about that, but we wouldn't have chosen Williams if we had Parker, and I'd rather have Williams. So I guess gay (legitimately) Raul Lopez was a bit of a blessing in disguise.

And I apologize about the stereotype, but was there a player in the NBA that looked more gay when he dribbled a basketball than Raul Lopez? I guess I know why.

That's the same excuse people use for giving the Jazz a pass on not signing Mo Williams. You can never have too many great players. Who knows what would have happened had the Jazz drafted Parker and kept Mo? They may have been able to package one or both for another great player and still drafted Deron.

That is so true. I watched the 1st quarter from last nights game and nobody could guard him and contest his shot in the lane, when he got there. He was abusing Kidd, The Jet, and Barrea. Tony had crossed Dirk so bad that he turned his back to him and Parker had a wide open lay-up.

I think Deron Williams is a great point guard and top 3 in the NBA. But I have never seen him take over a game like I have seen Parker do on several occasions this year. Deron needs to be more aggressive and when his teammates are not making shots he needs to take over. That is the only thing in my opinion that is keeping him from becoming the best PG in the NBA.

Considering that all you had to give the Jazz for Deron Williams was Martell freakin Webster, I'm sure you could have got Portland to part with the 3rd pick with something less than what you gave the Blazers. I'm very glad that John Nash is gone.
