The Rockets-Blazers prediction is ridiculous considering the Blazers home record and how well the Blazers have been playing as of late. Ask your Lakers how hard it is to win in Portland because they have been unsuccessful in their previous 11 attempts.

I'm really interested why you think that Rockets can win 2 out of 3 games in Portland. I'm surprised at the lack of respect that the Blazers are getting right now. Going into the playoffs they are one of the hottest teams in the Western conference. They have a fantastic record at home and they have homecourt advantage. I can see how people can think that the Rockets might win the series, but it seems completely ridiculous to think that the Rockets will win it in less than 6 games, and I think it is unlikely they win it in less than 7 games.

I'm curious to see how the Blazers will do in the playoffs. I see only one guy on their roster that I really trust to get it done. One that will consistently be able to score under playoff intensity when you're seeing the same team night-after-night and they have an opportunity to really prepare for you. That's not enough, but who knows, maybe a couple others guys will surprise and they'll make a run.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

2 months ago I would have agreed with you, but LA has been a different player the last couple months.

How about the fact that Portland is young and they have how many total games of postseason experience? The playoffs are a different beast, Portland will not get up and down the floor and win on pure athleticism come playoff time.

Rockets have a good playoff style team, they can slow it down play a half court game and pound it in to Yao. Also they have two good defenders in Artest and Battier. Rockets win easily.

Since when did the Blazers ever rely on getting up and down the floor to win on pure athleticism. That has never been the Blazers game under Nate McMillan. In fact, the Blazers play the game at one of the slowest paces in the NBA. Blazers are 2nd to last in pace.

If your reasoning is defense, I can see that because the Blazer don't have a good defense. However, the Blazers are a half court team not a fast breaking team that relies on athleticism.

I seem to recall Blazer fan pulling this out of his hat every time there is a playoff series. And pretty much every time, the Lakers beat the Blazers in the playoffs.

When was the last time the Lakers won in Portland? The playoffs.

If you want the Blazers to get respect, then we should wait until they have accomplished something. This team has accomplished literally nothing yet. They are a 4 seed in the playoffs with zero post-season experience.

I did set the odds of the Blazers winning the series with the Lakers at about 2%, so I'm not expecting a Blazer victory over the Lakers. I just think the Lakers will actually have to work at winning the series and the Blazers have the best shot of any team in the West at knocking the Lakers out.

LeBron is foiled as Dwight Howard has his coming out party and establishes himself as a bonified star and top 5-10 player in the league.
"They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I hope you are right. Anything that is bad for LeBron James, I am in favor of.
