Rumors that the Mariners are in talks again for Price. I don't really get this. Their pitching is great, but the offense is still bottom of the league. Flipping prospects for pitching because they're suddenly playing decent ball feels like the Bedard (Adam Jones ) and Lee mistakes all over again. I really hope the Rays save Jack Z. from himself on this one.

Felix with a good shot to start the AS game. Dude has been incredibly good this year, especially considering that historically he usually doesn't really get it going until July. Hopefully I didn't just jinx him.

He has been fantastic, but he is always fantastic. He should be the front runner for the AL Cy Young.

M's back to 5 over and now 2nd in the league in run differential. Still only 18th in runs scored, but the pitching has been shockingly good, especially when considering that 2/5's of the projected starting rotation is still missing. If we can get Saunders and Hart back soon this lineup may not look too bad now that a few other guys are hitting.

His consistency is unreal. Expectations were high for the youngster and he's exceeded them.

And the amazing thing is they suck. 4/5 slots in the rotation have been good, but the lineups they trot out on a daily basis always leave me wondering how they hope to win the game.

I'm hopeful they can hang on until they get all of their pitching back. If they could do that and add a bat or two before the trade deadline, I'd like to think they could make a run at the West, or at the very least would be able to snag the wild card.

Franklin sent back down. Gotta be a frustrating year for the kid, but he just can't figure it out. How do you put up such insane slash lines in AAA and then can't hit in the majors at all? Obviously it's a difficult thing, and smashing AAA doesn't mean you'll smash the bigs, but it seems like you should still be able to hit just a little bit.

At any rate, 2/3 against Detroit over the weekend, smashed the Yanks in a makeup game yesterday, and a series opening victory against the Bravos today has them back to two games above .500. Satisfied with that record, though things haven't gone nearly as well as I would have thought had I known they'd be 30-28 at this point.
