  • Combine 2012

Robert Griffin runs a 4.38 40. Wow, that guy is a freak of nature. Nick Foles checking in with 5.13, the second group of QBs is yet to go but I think we have a winner and a not winner.

David Molk from Michigan with 41 reps on the bench press is the leader so far.

ESPN commentators must be crushed, Brock Osweiler is not 6'8". Brock is 6'6" 7/8. Also his college career was hampered by playing in Dennis Erickson's offense, you know how throwing 50 times a game is awful for a QB?

Why in the Hell was John Cullen invited to the combine. Is there a need in the NFL for LTs that cannot block, get multiple false starts per game, and commit dumb ass game changing personal fouls?

Robert Turbin had pretty good numbers: 28 reps on the bench press was top among RBs and 4.50 40-yard dash isn't bad for a guy his size.

That 6'6-7/8" is 6'9" in the NBA.

He was seventh best in the cone drill. Maybe the NFL is going to start making OLineman run a cone drill before the play starts.

Most overrated player in college football last year. He rode the coattails of his #1 HS ranking his entire career.

I've noticed that the Utes don't currently have a pro day scheduled...anyone know why?

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Question for the NFL draft junkies. Is the NFL combine more or less worthless than the NBA pre-draft camp. Since speed and strength is more important for many positions in football than in basketball, I'd guess that it is slightly less worthless than an NBA combine. But I can't imagine how the bench press test is useful. Most of the athletic tests are already evident from having watched the players play. And if it is not, there is reason to doubt its usefulness.
