I'm wondering if I'll offend anyone with my comments about the scary appearance of the halftime performers again this year.

Jay Leno brings som dog on his show every year to predict the winner. The dog has done this for around 5 years and every year the dog is right. They blow up around 40 balloons, each with the logo of one of the two teams on the balloon. There is an even number of both sets of logos. The dog likes to pop balloons by biting them. Last balloon popped wins the Superbowl.

The dog picked the Pats this year. So the Pats are going to win. Sorry for the spoiler.

I can't remember which way it goes but isn't there some sort of trend for the winning conference equating to a bull market? If so, that's the one I want.

                    Pats 27 Giants 24.

I think Brady and Belichek know they're not going to get too many more of these and are looking to redeem their loss in '08 with a vengeance.

Tough game, but Brady exploits the hell out of the Giants' linebackers and the Pats get the W.

I haven't followed the NFL this year, but my understanding is that the Giants had a pretty mediocre season, and then just had a nice run in the playoffs.

Have they improved that much since they got beat by the Pats earlier this year? It seems the Pats have a poor defense, but I don't get how NY is favored by almost all the pundits despite having been beaten handily only a few weeks ago.

I think that NY got some key players back from injury, and Eli has ice in his veins in the fourth quarter.

The Giants beat the Pats this year. The Giants have the best receivers in the league and the Pats have a terrible defense. The Giants defense isn't much better but they do some things well.

The funny thing about this game is that it doesn't involve any of the three best teams, the Packers, Saints and Niners. The Saints got beat because they had a freakish 10 minutes where they turned over the ball three times. The Packers were completely out of sync because of a tragic event. The Niners lost because they have a dumbass as the 50th guy on the roster.

With that said, the Giants have some tremendous strengths and they had an absolutley brutal schedule the last half of the season. Their record was misleading. I don't think the game at Foxboro was a fluke and the Giants are the better team.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Woops. I even watched part of that game. Maybe I turned it off when the Pats got ahead or something. This explains things nicely though. Thanks.
