  • NBA League Pass

Does anyone located in Utah have League Pass and use it to watch the Jazz? I know there are some pretty strict blackout rules and that's about the only thing preventing me from getting it. Does simply using a proxy located somewhere other than Utah fix that? Thanks.

The blackouts are super obnoxious. In LV I get blacked out anytime they play the Kings, Clippers, or Lakers. I can usually get the LAL games on locals, but only sometimes the Clippers and never the Kings.

This year I've agreed to split the costs with a friend in Ohio. He's ordering to watch on TV, and I'm going to use his broadband pass. I'm hoping to pick up a Roku or Apple TV (damn you Boxee and your NHL contract) to watch in HD on my TV.

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

I usally get Sunday ticket, mlb extra innings and League pass. Whenever I have blackout issues for example when the Giants play Colorado or Arizona I can switch to that teams affiliate station and I have to watch with their announcers.

Yup. Blackouts aren't an issue. You just might have to listen to some terrible announcers. Though as a Lakers fan sometimes it's hilarious to listen to the opposing team's guys. The bitching and whining about Kobe and company are great comedy.

league pass is bullshit, so i didn't buy it this year. there's a new option on the market though in ballstreams. no blackouts, every game streaming in ridiculous hd from either team's broadcast, and streaming to every device you can think of (i use it on my laptop, desktop, ipad, phone, roku, and ps3). it's almost certainly illegal so i signed up for three months ($35), but for the week i've had it it has been amazing. it's basically what league pass should be.

There needs to be an equivalent service to this for a league worth watching. I'm of course speaking of the NHL.

actually, ballstreams grew out of a site they have been running for the last five years called hockeystreams that basically does the same thing.

Isn't league pass like 1200 dollars a year at this point? seems a bit ridiculous.
