    • Brown just said that Ben Stiller used to come to Knicks games in the 80s and sit on his dad's knee. Ben Stiller is in his mid 40s
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

            Yeah I saw that too.

Stuff like this Jeremy Lin phenomenon and the Kurt Warner story makes you wonder how many other guys would have been great pros but never got a chance for whatever reason. But yeah it's only 4 games for Lin.

There hasnt been an American born Asian player of note since...well forever. There was probably quite a bit of skepticism all along the way simply because of his race.

                  • Had anyone heard of Jeremy Lynn before tonight? Maybe the Wizards have somebody like that sitting on the bench.

Apparently I don't even know how to spell his name.

If you follow college you knew who he was at harvard. If you follow the nba tonight was great but he really burst on to the scene about a week and a half ago.

I just had this type of talk with a group of 13 softball coaches this week.

                            I basically said...

Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player to ever play the game. But what if there was somebody out there that was better than even him, and we never had the chance to find out because he was encouraged to try or poor coaching left a bad taste in his mouth?

Let's foster excitement into the kids, and see if we can't find someone special!

It's true, the Ivy league and the New York Knicks are pretty far down my interest list.
