The boys on CB thought they were harsh but it seemed pretty fair.
You have to remember the "vocal" boys on CB are equivalent to the far right in the republican party or the far left in the democratic party. There are no gray areas.
That is why for instance, they see a good discussion on here about a religious subject as "heresy".
"If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.
"I honestly believe saying someone is a smart lawyer is damning with faint praise. The smartest people become engineers and scientists." -SU. "Yet I still see wisdom in that which Uncle Ted posts." -creek. GIVE 'EM HELL, BRIGHAM!
Just watched it. Actually I think it was very well done.
Agreed. It wasn't bad at all. They got Tico (who got baptized and loves BYU still), who was booted for BS accusations, and Mekeli who came back to school, to talk. They could have gone with the Deadspin guys if they wanted to paint a black eye on BYU. Both Tico and Mekeli were honest and said nothing wrong. Besides, would ESPN purposefully smear someone they're invested in financially? They treated the issue with kid gloves.
Based on the CB link provided, it looks most of the responses feel that the segment was fair and that the linked letter was an overreaction.
How can you perform investigative journalism that is favorable to BYU when BYU divulges no information to the journalist? BYU wouldn't provide a breakdown of HC violations and enforcement by race, anyway.
