  • The Sports Facts Thread

I love sports trivia and interesting nuggets. The more obscure the better. Me and FN Phat used to play the "You don't know where he went to college" game. Anyway, I thought this could be the thread where anyone could post tidbits of sports trivia (college, pros, any sport).

I used to always play the college game, but I was to dominant and no one will play with me anymore.

Pat Riley is one of the most interesting dudes ever. In HS his team met Lew Alcindor's and won. At Kentucky he played basketball and football. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys.

I believe it. I think the only person that could hang with you here is Top Ute. Maybe HL.

I don't believe it nor do I believe that Hot Lunch would do that well.

Cheryl Miller's 105 point HS game record was broken a few years ago I think. But Lisa Leslie would have destroyed that record. In HS she scored 101....in a half. The other team, South Torrance HS, refused to come out and play the second half.

I didn't know that Escalade died. Heart problems? I thought it was impressive a man of that size could still rise up and dunk.

It was over NBA All-Star weekend I think. IIRC, he died in his sleep. My guess, because of his size, is sleep apnea was the cause.
