I just had an idea. How 'bout petitioning the Utah Jazz to retire Jim McMahon's jersey, seeing as BYU will never do it?

Seems crazy, but it's not really that much more bizarre than the Heat having retired Jordan and Marino's jerseys.

I am actually getting into the Miami Heat rafter strategy. Since it is clear that they will never have any of their own legitimate numbers to retire (when all is said and done, is Wade's number one that should be retired? yikes...), why not establish a really eclectic mix of sports personae?

I am waiting for the Heat to retire a Larry Csonka jersey. Or Bobby Bowden. Or Burt Reynolds. Or maybe even Li'l Penny. A "1/2" jersey would look pretty sweet in the rafters at the AAA.

If D-Wade is going to stay in Miami (which I think is unrealistic) for the length of his career, why would it be scary? Or a "yikes"?
