He's trying to be the next Jerry Jones. He just doesn't have the right people around him in the front office. This is a full time job for Jones and he keeps himself informed. We have said this before, but the bottom line is that the Redskins do not have a football mind anywhere in the front office. Snyder has gotten more conservative in recent years by not going for the big free agent and by trying to build through the draft. I actually distinguish this signing from some of the big ones of the past because Haynesworth is a stud in his prime as opposed to a guy just past his prime as so many others have been. With that said, the next time a free agent comes to DC and performs anywhere in the neighborhood of what he did in his contract year will be the first time.

I was going to mention that one. That deal is far worse than Haynesworth's deal. The only thing I don't like about the Haynesworth deal is that he's making like $32 mil of that this year. But less than half is guaranteed. The Hall deal is bad. Hall was in a great position with the Skins this year because he came in and performed well.
