I think it's great. The kid has some well-documented psychological issues, but was a huge part of Jimmer's success, and is something of a success story himself. Have you seen the Jimmer D.A.R.E. photo? He transformed from the quintessential fat kid to an all-american basketball player in a decade. If TJ had a part in that, I say let him have all the pub in the world.Originally posted by DrumNFeather View PostAnyone else think it is inteteresting how much play TJ is getting? I didn't know that part...if that's the case, huzza for TJ!Originally posted by RedSox View PostI think it's great. Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I missed the whole Jimmer show. I cut ties with Directv and got the basic package on Dish. I didn't even record the game.
I am reveling in the highlights though. That picture of the Jimmer Rock Concert is my new desktop background. +1. I don't change the background too often, but when I do, you know it's a keeper.Originally posted by Eddie Jones View PostI missed the whole Jimmer show. I cut ties with Directv and got the basic package on Dish. I didn't even record the game.

Why don't you stop being jealous of BYU and embarrassed of your fanbase?Originally posted by Top Ute View PostThis is the Jimmerphillia thread. Please stop posting comments from the 5-watters in my fanbase and taking a shit on this thread."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! Who's jealous? I've fully embraced Jimmermania for what it is, and am not denying its existence. It's legitimate, and my posts at UF.N (which I know you've read) back those sentiments up. But I'm embarrassed for those in my fanbase who try and say otherwise. Quite frankly, I don't see what you're getting at.Originally posted by Commando View PostWhy don't you stop being jealous of BYU and embarrassed of your fanbase?

Start the email campaign...Colin Cowheard says he can't get excited about a kid named Jimmer lighting up the MWC.
"He can work for the Lakers...in SALES."
I have a feeling he's about to get bombarded by BYU fans if this hits CB which it probably already has."They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.

Sorry, not that big of a fan. I was looking for some good Aztec quotes, but couldn't locate a viable board. What I'm getting at? How about a whole website dedicated to "Man, Jimmer is good but F*CK BYU!!!" I think that says a lot. You lot wouldn't even give that much to AC.Originally posted by Top Ute View PostWho's jealous? Best comparison I've seen yet to the admiration BYU fans have for Jimmer:
If you don't like Jimmer (or didn't like Weddle), there's something flat-out wrong with you. The initial resentment is understandable, but if you love sports, that should fall by the wayside and respect and awe should come into play. But there's still some hate floating out there when there shouldn't be.

Jimmermania has hit my company (I think there are only two BYU grads in the whole company of 9,000 employees). I've had multiple people stop by to talk about Jimmer. One is not even a sports fan but has a brother that lives in SLC. Another is a Missouri fan that now wants BYU in the Big 12. The other is a Ohio State fan who is now an Ohio State and Jimmer fan."Discipleship is not a spectator sport.
