It's never a sure thing. But Harbaugh has the benefit of having played in the NFL (Nick Saban and Bobby Petrino didn't) and also Harbaugh having a successful brother coach in the NFL probably doesn't hurt him either. He's also regarded as one of the best teachers of the QB position, and I think that bodes well for him as well.

Absolutely not a sure thing, but IMO he has a few things working in his favor.

Ross is a big Michigan guy (B-School bears his name), and the word is that he confirmed with Michigan that Harbaugh isn't happening before pursuing him for Miami.
