    Good deeds of professional athletes

Obviously we're all pretty cynical about the contractual obligations (or, ahem, sentences) that lead some athletes to go do community service or to act like great guys. But every now and then you get a glimpse of someone who is serious about being a contributing, caring member of the community.

Mark Sanchez is one such guy.

Shaq paid for George Mikan's funeral expenses:

"I heard they were having some trouble, some problems, so if you contact the Heat office, I would like to pay for the funeral," O'Neal said.

      Dale Murphy's life's work.
"Wuap's "problem" is that he is smart & principled & committed to a moral course of action. His actions are supposed to reflect his ethical code.
The rest of us rarely bother to think about our actions." --Solon
