    RIP Sparky Anderson

Not a huge baseball historian, but I know what a legend he was. He was 75.
"They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

He lived in Thousand Oaks for years and years. Very nice guy. I have actually trick or treated at his house when I was Only A Lad.

Were you underprivileged and abused? Perhaps a little bit confused? I'm sorry, this is about Sparky. That '84 Tigers team he managed sure could play some baseball. But what's up with Willie Hernandez winning the AL MVP that year? It's a scandal still.

Johnny? That explains a lot. How is the lady down the block recovering from her gun shot wound?

This is a sad day. Sparky was one of the good ones. RIP.

also those big red machine teams (75-76)

                RIP

I may be small, but I'm slow.

A veteran - whether active duty, retired, or national guard or reserve is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to, "The United States of America ", for an amount of "up to and including my life - it's an honor."

I am always amazed at how young he is (was). Sparky looked like he was close to 75 when he was manging the Reds, but he was really about the age I am now.

I thought he was 167 years old.
