Bedard is noticeably faster and his zone entries have been a lot better. Still not sold anymore on his ability to be a play driver and he needs someone who can set him up.

Nazar's goal was nice, but it woke up the Panthers and the Blackhawks are about to get run out of the building.

AJ Greer is a piece of shit and I'm glad that Foligno threw the gloves down with him.

Nazar may end up having a better career than Bedard. He is definitely the better player now.

Oh brother, already effing around with Bedard's line. Projected lines for tonight

          Dach - Bedard - Burakovsky

          Teravainen - Nazar - Bertuzzi

          Donato - Dickinson - Mikheyev

          Foligno - Greene - Lafferty

It will be good to have Vlasic back tonight. Also, nice to be playing a bad team. Not Blackhawks bad, but still not good.

I went and toured the new Mammoth practice facility last night.

            Season starts tonight! Let's go!

8-years at 13.5 AAV is a good one for the Knights. The AAV is right and they got term to lock him up with a rising salary cap.

Eff that BYU lover Ryan Smith for making it so I can’t watch the Blackhawks tonight.

It was broadcast over the air. How is that stopping you from watching?

There were lots of ways to watch, including subscription free. I started watching it on Channel 16 and then finished on the Mammoth+ app.

I don't have an OTA antenna. I also was mostly joking.

It was nice to get a win. I really do think that Blackhawks have a solid core of young talent.

It was frustrating back before the Coyotes moved, that they would black out Colorado, Arizona, and Vegas games on ESPN+ in Utah.

I didn't catch all the game last night, but the Mammoth have been underwhelming so far. Hopefully things start to click for them.

Yeah, it has been an overall improvement to watch Blackhawks games to have Utah here.

I haven't had a chance to watch Utah at all and probably won't watch any games, as I'm not willing to pay for those games.

I thought the talk of the Mammoth being a playoff team was really early. I think Cooley really needs to make a huge jump to make that happen. He has the skills to do it, but not sure if it happens this year.

It's a long season. Can't read too much into what happens in the first couple of weeks. Coming off their title run, VGK started the next season 10-0 and looked like they might never lose. In the end, they barely made the playoffs, where they were destroyed in the first round by Dallas.
Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

Agreed. My opinion on Utah's playoff chances is less about the first couple of games and more about the strength of the division and where they were at last year.

I am guessing you are within 20 miles of the KUPX tower with an unobstructed line. Can I buy you a cheap $20 antenna? I could penalty make one out of aluminum foil that would work for you.

I know your main devotion will always be the Blackhawks, but we have to get you invested some to the local team.

I agree that Cooley needs to step up. I was hoping for more from Peterka too. I’ll give him some time since he is new to the team. There is definitely potential there. He hasn’t been horrible.

So far, the one bright spot has been Guenther.

It's the best playoff sport to watch by a mile. The apprehension and tension before a big pitch is awesome. It's even better now with the pitch clock as the game actually moves along at a decent pace.

Nothing beats sitting in a ball park as well. I prefer the ball park over a basketball arena or a football stadium.

I'm bringing this over here because I've already commented too much in that thread on a sport I no longer really follow.

Moliere has a point about baseball playoffs being a step up from the regular season and generally better than basketball and football with regards to the playoffs, but I've said it here several times. Nothing matches the intensity of a competitive playoff series in the NHL.

I'm trying to wrap up my work now, so I can head up to the Delta center for the home opener tonight.

Hopefully they make the playoffs in the next few years so that Utah gets a taste of it.
