    The Masters

Impressive round from Rahm today. Also I was impressed with what Koepka did today, him, DJ and Smith are the only ones I'd like to see back on tour.

I don't give two s***s about DJ or Koepka. But Cam Smith and Joaquin Niemann were big losses for the PGA tour. Still, they can ESAD.

Sorry - I'm not in the head space to run my usual game.

This is my 50th year of loving The Masters.

100% agree. I like Kevin Na too, but that's mostly because he's a hometown guy. I sort of forgot about him until I saw he withdrew.

On another point, how many times has Speith been in the pine straw on 13? I swear he hits it there 50% of the time on his drive, year after year.

That was a better than average Jacket Ceremony.

I grew up watching Seve make birdies from the parking lot.

It was a great Masters but was unusual because it was the first time in my life that I rooted for a foreign player to win a Major over other Americans. It's a shame that they even let LIV golfers play in the Masters, but it was a joy watching so many of them choke in the Masters. That withstanding, how can you not love John Rahm? He is brilliantly consistent. Always in the fairway. Always on in regulation. The only drama to his game is whether he'll one-putt or three-putt. And how nice was it that he won the tournament on Seve's birthday? Viva España! (except for Sergio Garcia, who's a dick).

Glad that Rahm won over Koepka or that rat bastard Mickelson (who had an incredible round on Sunday). I did not love seeing three LIV guys in the top 5 though.

I'm not a big Rahm fan but I was happy someone beat the LIV guys. I would have lost a lot of money betting on what I thought Mickelson would do last week, a run like that before LIV would have really fired up the crowd and the announcers, I didn't hear it yesterday.

Am I the only one who thinks Rahm looks kind of like a current CSer before he went all hippy on us?

I don't really get the outrage some folks have over LIV. I don't love that it's Saudi money because the House of Saud sucks, but these are professional golfers who get paid to play golf. Why wouldn't they go wherever they can get paid the most for the least amount of work?

Actually, I really don't care all that much because golf is a boring sport so all the outrage about LIV seems to provide more amusement/entertainment value than the sport itself.

Nobody is outraged that they left. The outrage comes from them leaving but then still expecting to be able to play events and keep their PGA status so they can play in all the majors. This, when they knew that not being able to play in some/any of the majors was a significant likelihood if they took the easy money. So nobody cares that they took the easy money. It's that they took the easy money but don't want the negatives that came with that decision.

Also, Trump hates the PGA because they don't want to be affiliated with him. So now Trump loves LIV golf, and the whole issue is politically polarized. But leaving politics out of it, it's about guys who wanted easy money and don't want to live with the negative ramifications.

                        Agree with DH.

Plus, I get them wanting to take the easy money. But professional golf exists for the fans. The tournaments, the purses, etc. wouldn't exist without the fans. So I get pissed when people like Mickelson try to f*ck with the PGA because he lost $40m gambling over 4 years and now needs a Saudi loan so he doesn't lose his favorite toy, his personal jet. Don't try to blow up with my entertainment because you have a gambling addiction.

If the the golfers left to play for a league bankrolled by the Sinaloa drug cartel, would you have a problem with that? It matters where the money is coming from.
