Draymond is just a tougher guy than the big lug Gobert.. Suspend them both, albeit longer for Dray.

                  Good thread from Fast Eddie.

I'm surprised at how uninteresting the NBA is now, almost unrecognizable. The All-Star game is silly. I don't understand the in-season tournament and the courts make it really unpleasant to watch. Watching the NBA has always been really fun and I want to like it again, but it just isn't clicking with me right now. Of course all these complaints would likely go away if the Jazz even remotely resembled an NBA team.

I agree that it’s boring. I do think it’s because of the fact 90% of shots seem to be three pointers or dunks/layups. I’d like to see the court size increased so the three point line can be moved back to 25 feet or further.

I agree that the game is pretty boring right now. Anecdotally, I know it's not just because I cheer for a terrible team, because I also found it pretty boring for the last 3-4 years of the Mitchell-Gobert years, when Utah was finishing pretty high in the regular season and playing in multiple postseason rounds. I didn't even buy league pass for the last 2 years of that run, because I found I was paying for it and not watching the games.

#getridofthecorner3 The 3pt line needs to be moved back to whatever distance produces a league-wide 3pt percentage of about 33-34%, with league leaders hitting about 36-38% of their 3s. This keeps players from camping in the corners because the value of the corner shot goes way down, and will generate more value in the mid range and inside game.

I can't stand LBJ. I haven't watched the NBA in a long time. Jazz have been terrible for a while.

So you cut off the 3pt line at the corners as you expand? Or expand the court?

Cut the 3pt line off at the corners. Expanding the court would create an even bigger problem, IMO, as defense would become that much more difficult. If the court were another 4 feet wider (2 feet per side) it would become nearly impossible to guard the drive and kick 3. Teams would do only that. Also, expanding the court size would cause major arena problems at most places and would reduce the number of high-value seats.

Things that I never would have expected 10 years ago, Donuthole talking about the NBA being boring and how the NHL is a great product.
