That doesn't seem like the right way to look at it. I could reasonably opine that the fact that Tiger has billions of dollars just because he can swing a stick is pretty screwed up.

I'm guessing that intoxication and highly-descriptive offers of things intended were enough to seal the deals. Perhaps things were mentioned that Mrs. Woods wasn't keen on. Perhaps Tiger is a lech who will copulate with anyone who wants to with him. Maybe his marriage was loveless. Maybe he was lonely, alienated, a victim of the postmodern world's hollowed-out cogito.

          Maybe he can't do better.

This pretty much makes it official that Tiger is gay.

In the words of Charlie Sheen, when asked about why he paid for hookers:

You're not paying for the sex. You're paying for them to go away after the sex.

He already was doing a lot better. His wife is a very attractive woman. Paul Newman's quote comes to mind: "Why go out for hamburger when you can have steak at home."

The Paul McCartney thing was much more egregious. McCartney was probably 25 years older than that woman and such an age disparity involving a wealthy man always raises the specter of the women being in it for one thing.

The law recognizes the assets should have some equitable split even though the man may earn most or even all the money. It produces results like what you have in Tiger Woods, but it also protects against the husband taking everything when his wife has sacrificed her career and everything in order to establish and maintain the household and raise the kids. Exceptions can't be made for uber-wealth guys.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Maybe not gay, but he could certainly play for both teams. For her to agree to not say anything ever, even after he is dead, that's something. The speculation of course is that he has either had sex with men as well or that he has taken steroids.

All that said, from a Nanny to $750 million? She's a modern day Horatio Alger.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I really doubt that. It seems that something like that would have already come out. Also, I don't think he would ever make it to Jordan's inner circle if there was any gayness about him.

One thing that's come out during this whole deal was Tiger's almost pathological tendency towards a desire for absolute privacy. It sounds like he's literally willing to pay 10s or even 100s of millions for it.

I don't think he is gay. He wants her kept quiet because she could completely ruin his chances of getting back to where he once was in his endorsement deals, and she could turn alot more peopel permanently against him.

I'm somewhat bothered that I'm not that bothered more by what tiger did. By all accounts Tiger is a bad guy and Phil is a really good one, but I still find myself rooting for Tiger. My wife wants to see him impaled with a 2 iron and was annoyed I was cheering for him during the US Open. I'm a conflicted man.

I was joking, but there has been one accusation made, way back when the mistresses were first coming out of the Woodswork:

I was listening to Stephen A. Smith go off this morning about this.

It's an impressive amount and I think Tiger probably deserves it.
