Fedor didn't look to be in shape. At all. This confirms what I have thought for a long time which is that Fedor is a once great fighter who doesn't want to take on the top heavy weights for a reason. He was a chubby 229 for this fight. Maybe its time to fight some lousy light heavy weights Fedor, bu you will have to actually train to get to that weight and eat a salad or two.

Its not CTR, its the Dethrone logo. I thought that at first too the first time I saw that logo.

You look at all the greats and they all have questionable losses:

Chuck Liddell = Jeremy Horn, Keith Jardine
GSP = Matt Serra
Shogun = Forrest Griffen

From what I've seen of Fedor, he's always sort of playing with fire - getting his ass kicked at certain times in the fight, only to pull some magnificent move out just when needed to win. See, e.g., Arlovski. It was a matter of time.

Dominated weak competition for much of it though. Don't get me wrong I think he used to be great, but I really dislike him dodging the best competition in the past few years. Do I think he would have done well if he fought in the UFC? Of course, but I can't give credit to a guy that has been given the chance to step up and has balked at the chance.

It's like someone like Hank Aaron deciding to play in Japan to pad his home run stats. It is sad really.

That will forever be his critique and a legit complaint. I hope this may cause him to wake up and get serious again and actually go to the UFC to show he is the best in the world.

I have been disappointed that he won't fight in the UFC. I hope this may cause him to do it. His pride is on the line now...
