The guy thanks his therapist on TV after the game, throws out one of the great post-game press conference performances of all-time, goes out clubbing that night still in his jersey, and then appears on Kimmel last night with some other Lakers wearing his blue tooth earpiece.
Seriously, you can't make up that level of crazy. Dude flat out cracks me up. I love it!
And on a non-Artest related note, you had to be impressed with Kobe on Kimmel. Every time I've see him on TV in the last few years, I come away with a pretty favorable impression of him. He's well-spoken, articulate, always displays a good sense of humor, and last night was complimentary of his teammates in a way that has shown a lot of maturation from the way he was several years ago. Kimmel did this little segment making fun of Morrison, and while Kobe said it was "funny as hell," he immediately went to his defense saying it takes a lot more than just the guys on the floor to win a championship. And the impressive thing was he actually seemed genuine about what he was saying when Springfield comes calling.
He's no Jordan on the court, but I honestly believe he's transformed himself into a more likable person at this point. And as I said in the Jordan HOF thread, I think there's very little chance Kobe would act with the classless lack of humility that His Airness displayed in his induction speech.
