I didn't realize BH was the Conference-watching type. Good for him.
I had him over to my house.

President Uchtdorf's talk at Conference was very inspiring and just put things in perspective! So thankful to have the family I do! #humbled

I think we started doing this in the late 90s, but we stopped having full drafts in 2004.

Last season I managed to pick up both Trout and Harper on the waiver wire. I have been sitting on Jesus Montero for a couple of years, as well. I think three or four years ago I picked up Jay Bruce when he got called up.and about midseason this year I picked up Jurickson Profar off the waiver wire.

Actually, I am pretty excited about my outfield right now: I have Trout, Harper, andBruce; I have Mike Morse and Corey Hart who can switch between first base and outfield, and have Dexter Fowler as my worst outfielder (still not bad). I just picked up Profar, and when Ian Desmond got injured this year someone in our league dumped him so I picked him up off the waiver wire and I already have Alexei Ramirez. I am also very pleased with my pickup of Allen Craig. I have some serious flexibility with my roster because just about everybody can play multiple positions.
That'd be interesting to have to keep the bulk of your roster year in and year out. We can keep up to five but must keep at least 3. If you don't keep 5 you participate in a supplemental draft that gets everyone up to 5 before the regular draft starts. Braun an Verlander are the only guys I know I will keep. I'll probably keep Teix, also. I need a good draft. It's very tempting to take Harper (I assume Kemp will go first). At least I'll know how many managers will be in the supp draft before I have to make a decision, though.

I have the 2nd overall pick in this year's draft (keeper league). By rule, Kemp, Longoria and Pedroia are going back into the pool (as well as a couple guys that no one would think about drafting early anymore). After that, no one knows who is going back in the pool until the keeper picks are made. Harper likely won't be kept by the guy who has him. I might get a crack at him in the second round, but I doubt he's still on the board when it comes back to me (snaking starts at the end of the second round). I'd almost rather roll the dice on a young up and comer than a vet with an injury history.

anyone can be an exception, but exceptions means it's not normal. Harper likely will be just fine next year, mainly because he's on a really good team that he doesn't have to carry, there's no pressure to perform.

Bryce got the day off but was inserted in the 8th to pinch run for Zimmerman. I wonder if it wasn't an effort to try and pick up the 2 SBs he needed for 20-20. The announcers certainly thought so. He had the green light and was taking off on every pitch. Pap was trying to hold him on the bag and threw over numerous times. Unfortunately Morse kept fouling everything off and then went yard.
