Same thing with Carwin, two years ago, undercard fighter, coupe fights later (Gonzaga, who Werdum beat, Mir) and he's a top 5 HW. Fedor has beat Nogueira in his prime, CroCop in his prime, Arlovski, Sylvia, right after their UFC exits, and just beat a game Rodgers. Too bad you roll your eyes, he's the Mike Jordan of MMA.
A game Rodgers? LOL. Fussy, you were making a decent argument until that one.

As far as Fedor wasn't this the last fight of his contract with Strikeforce anyway? So isn't he done after this one with Werdum? Anyway, this is an okay fight. Not an eye roller, but no way is Werdum a top 5 HW contender now.

I roll my eyes because he declines to prove it by fighting other top fighters. Yes he beat those guys in their prime, five years ago. Five years ago Matt Hughes was the most dominant fighter in MMA and Chuck Lidell was king of the light heavy weights. Those guys were great back then, but if they had started fighting the kinds of guys Fedor has since then maybe they would still be undefeated too.

I mean are you kidding me? Five years is a age in MMA. And the guys washing out of UFC? The fact that Silvia held a belt in UFC at all tells you how strong the HW division was at that point. Michael Jordan became the best by beating the best. Fedor is like a boxer who ducks all the contenders. The guy may still have greatness in him, but the only way you show it in this sport is by beating the best. As far as I am concerned he was once great and has been in semi retirement. Are you entertained by watching him beat guys that don't stand a chance against him?

Looks like the heavy weight belt will be unified on July 3 at UFC 116.

Daley/Kos winner gets GSP. Interesting since Kos has gone 3-2 his last 5 fights and Daley has only fought twice in the UFC and recently publically stated he's not ready for GSP. When you think about it the UFC, and MMA in general, does a horrible job of creating compelling championship fights. They are content to put on good fights that appeal to mans carnal desire to watch two humans beat the shit out of one another.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Kimbo's too small for the HW division. A nice mid HW division would be greay, too much difference between the LHW and HW classifications.

The main event should be awesome. Mitrione and Kimbo should be good too. Koscheck and Daley will be fun. Someone in that fight is getting KTFO.

In terms of names its not a huge card top to bottom. In regards to styles it is a must see. Kimbo vs Mitrione and Koscheck vs Daley I doubt either one goes longer than the 1st round.

Machida vs Shogun will go the distance again with Machida winning a decision.

Stout vs Stephens, both will stand and bang. So will Alan Belcher and Patrick Cote'.

I expect a few knockouts tonight.

                          My novice opinion,

With the decision last time, I expect Rua to push harder than he did last time and try to not let this go to the judges. Which plays right into Machida, Shogun get caught and knocked out.

I agree with this. Someone will get knocked out here.
