I literally audibly laughed (or LOLed as the hip kids say these days) when I read that quote. Has there ever been a player who has acted mortally wounded only to later play in the same game with absolutely no ill effects as much as Paul Pierce? Soccer players think that Paul Pierce embellishes injuries too much.
