  • 2010 NBA Western Conf. Playoffs Predictions

    ROUND 1

That's right, Thunder over the Lakes. LA is the better team but I think OKC is catching them at the right time.

I just have zero confidence in Boozer recovering to full strength quickly enough. Sorry Jazz fans (that includes me), but we need Boozer at 100% to beat Melo and Chauncey.

Picking Dallas because they're playing great and Parker is not at 100%. Also, what a disappointment Jefferson has been.

No Roy means no chance with the way Phoenix has been playing.

    ROUND 2

I'm obviously high on OKC right now.

    WC FINALS

I love Nash, would love seeing him play in the Finals. He finally gets his championship ring (PHX over the Cavs in 7).

I'd say there's even less of a chance that AK gets to full strength, and Memo is still clearly in pain. This one is going to be ugly.

Round 1 I'll take Lakers, Nugz, Spurs and Suns.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

        What are you talking about!?!

Portland has the best point guard in all of the NBA, just ask Funk.

PHX in four is crazy talk. Defense wins in the playoffs and Portland's defense and slow it down offense will win at least 2 games, and be close in the others.

Please show me any post where I have ever stated or even hinted that Miller is the best PG in the NBA. Miller is an underrated PG, but he is not an elite PG. Miller was a great signing for Portland too, but that doesn't make him an elite PG either. Without Miller this year the Blazers aren't in the playoffs. Oh, but I forgot he failed a preseason conditioning test so he clearly sucks.

Blazers aren't winning this series, but they are good enough to win 1 or 2 games even without Roy. They really are playing well right now and were able to beat the Lakers without Roy for half the game and OKC without Roy for the entire game. We can get a 1 or 2 against Phoenix.

IMO, OKC matches up very well with LAL and on paper, has the potential to be one of the best 1/8 match-ups in recent memory, but Lakers will win it due to home court advantage.

Nuggets, Suns and Mavs are the other winners.

Mavs and Lakers in the WC finals.

I think going back to when they were sucky in Seattle, the Sonics/Thunder have lost something like 12 of the last 15 games against LA.

                yawn.

Henry Abbott (an admitted Blazer fan) on the Blazers/Suns series.

I don't agree with him that the Blazers will win the series, but he does make some really good points. I think the Suns win, but I don't think the Blazers will be an easy out.

This is how I see it playing out, as well. The winner of Mavs/lakers? anyone's guess right now. And that is not a good thing for Laker fans.

I also think this may be the year LBJ ascends from hype to legitimacy.

Brandon Roy makes the right decision and will have surgery now. I was not happy with this talk of him playing in the playoffs. His long term future is much more important.

Blazers avoid the sweep in the 1st game.

To sweep another team, the bare minimum is to win the first game. Watching the game, I think that Portland controlled the tempo, won with defense as I predicted. I think it will be a good series to watch.
