    Howard for Pujols? Laughable.

Apparently, there is a rumored Howard for Pujols trade. Here is an article showing that this would seriously favor the Phillies if they traded for Pujols straight up.

I just like how they used Diamond Mind Baseball to simulate the results of the trade.

Diamond Mind Baseball is a PC based simulation game that's been around for more than 25 years and is considered the best baseball simulator out there!

I would be shocked if that trade was even discussed because it is so ridiculously one-sided in favor of the Phillies.

Didn't everyone on both sides already deny this a few weeks back?

Probably. I was more interested in the analysis of the trade than whether or not it was a legitimate rumor.

This kind of reminds me of the Utah sports radio discussions regarding trading Greg Ostertag for Tim Duncan circa 2000.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

It is nice seeing writers from baseball think factory, fan graphs, and baseball prospectus on espn.
