  • Just read that LeBron filed paperwork today to change his number

Going with #6 and says he's changing out of respect for Jordan. Apparently the NBA doesn't have to approve the change but probably will.

No respect for Dr. J huh? Or does it mean he is thinking about the Brooklyn Nets this summer?

Translation: I have no rings yet.

What is it with LBJ and copying other players?

He copied (and modified) Garnett's talc clap.

He has been jocking MJ since day 1, taking his number and then lobbying to failure to get the entire league to retire it (nobody was interested in that).

Now, he is doing what Kobe did....permanently changing his number.

I get a kick out of LBJ.

How long before he changes his name to Planet Lovetron? Or World B. Free?

Have you noticed his receeding hairline? He is starting to wear that head band a little further back. This is why I am thinking that he will start growing out the cornrows and maybe even wear a full fase mask, a la Rip.

It would also be sweet if he grew out a mullet, wore short shorts and changed his number to 33. Of course, that would mean that he would have to find a 3 point shot.

No questioning his ability but the guy talks about himself more than any superstar has in history. He makes Ali look like Helen Keller.

Yeah, LeBron claims it's to honor MJ but I have my own theories:

Apparently LeBronze has been eyeing some real estate out by Havasu in anticipation of the Cavs getting bounced prior to the Finals this year.

Haters. How can you not like LeBron? Works super hard, is accessible, says the right things, his teammates love him, and he wears a head band.

I like LBJ. He is going to win a couple of titles for the Lakers after his next contract is up.

And if you don't believe this you are one of two things: living in the 80's or completely insane. It's only a matter of time. My only question is, will an aging roll player in Kobe Bryant stick around to play with him.

I thought he was going to New York

Yeah right, it's out of respect for Jordan. He knows that if he continues with 23, that number is always going to be linked with MJ. He wants a number that HE can make his own (yes, I realize that others have had 6, but it's a number that can be "his" unlike 23.)

This doesn't surprise any of us who know the real reason behind the number change.

Wesley Matthews wears #23. So he has to change his number before signing with the Jazz this summer.
