    Had Thabeet slipped to the Spurs last year, would they have drafted him over Blair? Absolutely. So I don't know it would be so ridiculous to trade the same pick for him. It's not like Blair has taken the league by storm like Tyreke Evans or Brandon Jennings.
    So what if Thabeet had slipped he would have been drafted by the Spurs? All that matters is he didn't slip and Memphis drafted him. That argument seems even more silly when you consider Memphis who passed on Blair twice in the draft, now want him for their #2 overall pick, Thabeet.

      I guess if you completely ignore the fact that nobody had any idea that Gasol was going to pan out like he has, then you're right.
