Don't worry, Urban Meyer is already thinking of how he can bring the attention back onto himself. Just wait and see. Not sure if he can do what he did after Christmas but he will figure some how to put the spot light back on himself.

He'll have his testicles bronzed on a live internet feed.

ha! You are right. Pete and Urban are in some perpetual catfight to get the most money and most attention.

Urban: I have no shot at an SEC title next season. Ow, my heart hurts.......wait, it feels better!

Pete: I lost 4 games this season. I'm going back to the NFL.....unless I get another raise!

Next week Urban's chest pain and possible heart attack will turn into a triple bypass surgery that nearly took his life, but he remained in his office the whole time and completed the game plan against Georgia.

Actually, Urban did make an attempt to put the attention on him this morning by saying he won't take his "leave of absence" until Feb. 3rd. Pete topped him. We are about to see some of Urban's best work in the next couple of hours.

                      Let's look at some criteria:

                      1. Local talent: check. Texas is loaded with more talent than any other state in the union.

                      2. City: check. Austin's not Palo Alto, but it's nicer than every other city in the Big 12 and SEC. Few recruits going to avoid Texas because of Austin.

                      3. Tradition: check. Texas is not in the top tier with SC, ND, Alabama and Ohio State, but it's right behind them.

                      4. Facilities and fanbase: check. Stadium was recently renovated and now is the fourth largest stadium in the country (starting this season). More expansion is planned whereby it will become the largest stadium in the country. The current capacity is around 101k and Texas got more than 100k people at each of its home games this year.

                      5. School quality: check. Texas is one of the best public universities in the country. It also has an enrollment of over 40k students, which is one reason why Austin is so great.

So, look at the other elite programs. Florida is in Gainesville and the school isn't as good UT. Ohio State doesn't have as much local talent, the fanbase is also a pain in the ass. ND doesn't have as much local talent and is in South Bend. Alabama displays the national championship trophy at the local Wal-Mart. Oklahoma is in Norman and probably did the same thing as Alabama back in 2000. Miami has a fickle fanbase and plays at a stadium that has a baseball diamond on it for the first third of the year.

That leaves USC and Texas as the top two college football jobs in the country.
Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

How about Jim Mora to SC? Gets paid more than Carroll did while at SC while Carroll gets double what Mora was making in Seattle. Win/win.

Mora will end up at UW coaching as defensive position coach and eventually takes over for Nick Holt.

This one is easy, Meyer is going to come out and say how USC is a dream job and a great place to throw a curveball.

Didn't Pete already fail miserably with some pro team?
