Tiger won't win a major wearing those god-awful shoes. He looks more like he's entering a senior citizen's walk/run than a golf tournament. Seriously, those are a fugly way for him to join the white shoes movement (3 years late, no less).
Resurrecting Tiger

Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

Don't tell Stuart Scott that. His intro into the golf highlights tonight on SC Was all about how Tiger has won 25% of his PGA starts over the last 2.5 years, to only 9% for Phil. Considering Phil has 3 Official PGA Tour victories (including a major) to none for Tiger, i'm not sure where those stats are coming from (though I'm sure it includes that lame Shell event with 12 participants that Tiger won).Originally posted by Clark Addison View PostI would take it if the "2012" weren't there. I think Tiger will likely win another major at some point, just because he still has plenty of talent. But I don't have a lot of confidence that it will happen this year. He's just not the same golfer right now. 2005 Tiger doesn't get paired with Lefty in the final round and lose to him head to head by 11 strokes.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

I was watching with my son and mentioned how ugly those were. Nike must be paying Tiger a ton to wear those.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostTiger won't win a major wearing those god-awful shoes. Stuart Scott is racist. I'm not sure why ESPN keeps him around.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostDon't tell Stuart Scott that. The article I read about them was that they were totally thought up by Tiger. I'm not a fashionista like Donut, or apparently you, they weren't that ugly and I'll take comfortable shoes playing golf over fashionable ones every round.Originally posted by RC Vikings View PostI was watching with my son and mentioned how ugly those were. I'll take both, thanks. But I'm demanding like that. I noticed Ray Romano was rocking your preferred golf shoe, the Nike Air Rate (or is yours the Range? I can't remember).Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostThe article I read about them was that they were totally thought up by Tiger. The shoe's that Couples made popular looks comfortable, the shoes Tiger was wearing yesterday looks like something you would wear if you got a stroke deducted for running down the fairway the fastest.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostI'll take both, thanks. It is an especially bad look when combined with his all-black and red outfit. The shoes are ugly on their own, but they take on a real "tennis shoes among the bishopric" look with that outfit.Originally posted by RC Vikings View PostThe shoe's that Couples made popular looks comfortable, the shoes Tiger was wearing yesterday looks like something you would wear if you got a stroke deducted for running down the fairway the fastest.

Count me as one that is perfectly happy that Tiger will never be breaking Jack Nicklaus's major record. The fact that one of Jack's main competitors, someone who took 2-3 majors away from Jack, almost won the British Open at the age of 60 speaks volumes about the type of competition Jack had to deal with.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Are my eyes deceiving me or is Tiger also the last person to jump on the "make a small slit in the cuff of your jeans/pants" bandwagon? He's about 14 years too late on that one.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Sadly, that is a something that started to pop up in golf attire about a year ago. I think some of the young guns (Ricky Fowler and Rory McIlroy come to mind) re-started the trend with the help of their wardrobe sponsors (Puma and Oakley). They are actually hemmed that way (though maybe Tiger slit his with a kitchen knife just to feel younger).Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostAre my eyes deceiving me or is Tiger also the last person to jump on the "make a small slit in the cuff of your jeans/pants" bandwagon? No spoilers, please, as I plan on watching when I get home. But by old Tiger do you mean this new, aged Tiger we've been watching for the past few years? Or do you mean the young Tiger who changed the game last decade?Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostTiger has been old Tiger today.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss

Hank Haney seems like a nice guy, but I've never cared for these (reported) types of books. Seems like gravy training at best and peeping-tom tawdry at worst.
