Tiger tied for the lead with Zach Johnson here on the 14th hole on Sunday (NBC).

Will be interesting to see if Tiger can finally win a tournament.

Birdie, birdie to win by a stroke. Wow. That was clutch.

Lol. You guys can hump Tiger now, but I'll wait to get on his jock until he wins a "tournament" with more than 18 participants.

Tiger played well, but if that had been a real field of 100+ golfers, Tiger wouldn't have finished top 10. There won't be many other courses where Tiger can tee off with a 4-iron on most of the par 4s.

You're right. But it's not like the field sucked. In fact, for 18 players that was pretty nice list of guys. I think they said 11 of the top 25 were there not including Tiger.

I think it's culmination of his play this weekend, but also in Australia where he was clearly the best. He's striking the ball really well right now. But you're right in that we'll see what happens when the driver has to come out of the bag. But it makes me wonder why he would ever do that when he can hit a long iron further than Zach Johnson's driver.

He had no need to this weekend, but in a real tournament, he's not going to be playing 410 yard par 4s and his stiffest competition isn't going to be someone who drives it 280. As

Also, regardless of how many top-10 players were in the field of 18, all 18 players were guaranteed a paycheck of at least 150k. That is significantly different from a field of 150, where you have to make the cut to win 10k. That made the tournament much less competitive than a normal tournament. There's a reason they call it the "silly season."

Tiger looked good, but he didn't look "Tiger's back!" good. But it's definitely a step in the right direction.

I agree he didn't look Tigers back good. But the shots he hit on 17 and 18 which were the two toughest holes all week were pretty phenomenal. Draining that long putt on 17 to tie it up. Then on 18 after Zach Johnson sticks it, Tiger puts it inside of Zach and drains the putt. That was impressive.

It gives me a glimmer of hope going forward.

I think Tiger wins another major in 2012.

I'll take that if it is an actual bet.

So no bets from anyone, I guess?

I think he can win at Augusta this year. What's the bet?

I'm just not sure Tiger is a finisher anymore. I love watching Tiger play, I am a Tiger fan. I would take the other side of that bet.

I'm open to whatever. Doesn't have to be super expensive. How much would be good?

I do not think Tiger will win a major this year and I'm actually not against the notion that he will not win another major at all (although I still think he might at some point in the future.)

I would prefer Tiger to be winning. It is fun to watch him dominate. But he isn't the same anymore.

I'm in. How about lunch at someplace nice in downtown SLC or something?

                            EDIT: Or $100?

Tiger hit a ton of greens during these four days, the difference is he doesn't putt like he use to. On the fast greens at Augusta he won't win. You take Tiger and I'll take McIllroy.

I would take it if the "2012" weren't there. I think Tiger will likely win another major at some point, just because he still has plenty of talent. But I don't have a lot of confidence that it will happen this year. He's just not the same golfer right now. 2005 Tiger doesn't get paired with Lefty in the final round and lose to him head to head by 11 strokes.
