Jason Whitlock to LeBronze: Shut the hell up!

Bizarro LBJ continues his march to madness, stating that he might want to play football and that he thinks he could be pretty good. Some Cleveland Brown players, including Brady Quinn, respond positively, citing LeBronze's freakish athletic ability, strength, and height.

Then last night, after two days of discussing LeBronze's abilities to play professional football, his freakish athleticism, and his strength and size, LeBronze leaves the Cavs game in the third quarter.....because he banged his wrist.

Somehow I don't think LBJ will be a great football player.

LeBron was an All-State wide receiver. Both his junior and senior year, IIRC. Something tells me with his athleticism, hidth, and body composition he could have made a helluva run at the NFL.

Because basketball injuries are never as serious as even the most minor football injuries? I'm really not seeing the point here.

Also, who the hell is this douchebag to tell Labron James, of all people, to "shut the hell up"? I mean LJ still has a lot to prove in the NBA, but he's also already proven quite a bit. He deserves a bit more respect than that.

Well, I think it comes on the heels of Winless asking the NBA to have all franchises retire the number 23 in honor of Michael Jordan. The Commissioner's response was basically the same thing: shut the hell up.

LBJ seems to have a lot on his mind lately.

You have to understand that DDD has a perpetual hard-on for LBJ. He will use cute nick-names (such as Lebronique, LeBronze, and now Winless). It is classic behavior. Just like the boy, who calls the girl he likes, names on the playground.

I simply enjoy watching him in action. I have high expectations (if what I hear and read about him is true).

There are very few on this site that are brave enough to speak honestly about LBJ. mpfunk was onto his antics way before anyone else.

I would be worried if I were the only person to notice this, but it seems that the sports media agree with me.

PS I have never called him Lebronique.

He didn't play his senior year, but I read a few different recruiting experts state that he would have been a top 5 overall recruit if he had choosen to play football. I think he made the right decision, but he could have been a pretty darn incredible WR/TE.

Thanks, I thought that was the case but I couldn't remember.

I just looked it up. He was all-state in Ohio his sophomore and junior year.

Here is a blurb from a four part article written in 2002.

"However, all this greatness on the hardcourt has come with a cost: James, a two-time all-state wide receiver, has been forced to give up football. Some felt he could have been an NFL’er in the mold of a Randy Moss (minus the headaches).

“It was very hard to quit football,” he says softly. “I still want to play, especially when I see my team lose. I know I could help them, but I know I'm getting close to making a big decision."

I think he's going through a little bit of what MJ went through minus the championships. I think he's starting to get bored and has the ego to match. I wouldn't be surprised to see him actually try to play football. I don't think it would last long, but I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up at a training camp next year like Garth Brooks are Billy Crystal has in the past for Spring Training.
